sarah’s tahnik

November 5, 2018 • 5 comments • 13627 views

Our little family did a tahnik for Sarah to celebrate her one week into this world. We did it for Daniel and Mariam before, and so the tradition continues. It was supposed to be a small do with just immediate family and best friends, but then it somehow ended up with a tent outside, we invited a few more people from the FV management team and we got catering etc… trust a bored lady in pantang to plan a small do hehe.

Sharing some pictures from the day:

Sarah was put on the floor while our family and friends gathered to witness the tahnik ceremony. A bit of dates and a bit of honey were given to her to symbolise sweetness in her life, followed by more prayers recited by the Ustaz.

For Daniel, I remember blogging asap to announce his birth. For Mariam, I was busy adjusting to having two kids, that I took about a week to announce on my blog.

Third baby?

#prayforthirdbaby

I’m 24 days late to announce her birth on my blog. *nervous laughter*

If you follow me on Instagram, you’d already know and you’ve seen her updates already. But just pretend to be surprised and congratulate me again ok? Also pretend that you’re seeing this photo for the first time ok….

third trimester woes

I’m usually a cheerful and positive person (still am!) but I’ve gotta be completely honest – these last few weeks of pregnancy are proving to be super letih-licious, just like how it was for Daniel and Mariam’s pregnancy.

First trimester problems are out the door, thank God, but now third trimester problems are here – can’t find a good position to sleep which results in late night Netflix binge and sleep deprivation which results in a groggy wife in the morning which results in snapping at husband which results in #prayforfadza. Haha.

getting nervous

Wearing satin silk scarf from dUCk and batik top from Radzuan Radziwill, from FashionValet.

I woke up in the middle of the night last night and suddenly it hit me. Omg Baby S is coming next month. Next month, I’m going to be a mom of 3. Suddenly I got nervous. Am I going to be a competent mom? How am I going to be fair to Baby S when I have two other kids who also want my attention?

It’s all happening so fast. Well actually, not really – I can’t wait to be done being pregnant. If you’ve been following me from Daniel and Mariam’s pregnancies, you’d know that I’m no pregnancy poster child. Haha. Just two days ago I told Fadza I can’t wait to get the baby out haha. #teaminduce #onlywhendoctorsayscanornecessary #havetoputdisclaimerhehe

write so you never forget

I’m staring at the blank box to pour my words in and that beautiful feeling is coming back – the blogger in me is alive again! I haven’t blogged for almost 2 months guys… TWO MONTHS! It’s been a crazy period, but let’s face it – no excuses, Vivy, you were just slacking off!

But not today guys… not today, my friends… because today was a really really good day that I just want to remember. I told my best friends that I really miss blogging and so many good moments happen everyday that if I don’t write them down like I diligently did before, they’re all going to fade in forgotten memory land. So I don’t want to let that happen. No matter how tired I feel at the end of every night, with long days at work and beautiful yet tiring nights with the kids.
